A Magical Journey
At the American Film Market, we met Karen Sailer, an extraordinary creative whose personal journey became the seed of something much larger. Karen had already released a short film — My Magical Journey — about following a figurine that led her to the discovery of a shared past life, almost 400 years ago. Through this journey she connected with nine other women who believed they had been part of that same lifetime.
For some, this subject might be unusual. But for many around the world, past lives and spiritual connection are deeply held beliefs. LoveGate takes those ideas seriously — offering an intimate, emotional documentary about identity, creativity, and the threads that bind us across time.
Challenge
When we first spoke, Karen was planning to capture social media snippets of her journey across Europe, reconnecting with the women from that past-life circle. It was a beautiful concept — but one that risked being overlooked if it stayed in the realm of quick, online content.
The challenge was to elevate this story into a format that could reach audiences deeply, travel internationally, and touch viewers far beyond a social media feed.

Our Approach
We asked: what if this became a feature documentary instead of a series of social clips?
Working with Karen, Resonant Blue supported the move into long-form storytelling. Karen assembled her European team, while we contributed especially in Australia — capturing the Melbourne-based story thread and offering production support throughout. Together, the team spent over a year shooting and cutting the film, crafting not only a powerful narrative but also an extraordinary soundtrack, graphics package, and final edit.
The result was LoveGate: a feature-length documentary that weaves personal journeys, creative exploration, and spiritual discovery into a cohesive, moving film.

Why This Matters
At Resonant Blue, we believe in stories that move people. LoveGate is exactly that: a film that connects creativity, spirituality, and cinema in a way that inspires and affirms.
This project shows how reframing a production — from social media content to a feature documentary — can unlock new levels of impact, audience reach, and market viability. It's proof that sometimes the most meaningful projects come from trusting unusual, deeply personal stories and giving them the respect of the big screen.
